Athena Security has now introduced a number of measures that will help any company that is a member of the Considerate Constructors Scheme.
In line with our commitment to reduce our carbon footprint and offer a transparent service, Athena has introduced the usage of the Active Guard system on all customer sites.
Patrols are undertaken using a hand held RFID reader with live reporting to our control room, this negates the requirement for an officer to produce copious amounts of repetitive and neutral reports. All incidents will continue to be recorded on the traditional paper reports, which should reduce paper usage by 500 sheets of A4 a year per site.
The patrol records are maintained on our company server and are available for scrutiny by all customers (Customers Sites Only). These records are created live by the officer and our control operators are immediately alerted should a patrol not commence on time or be completed within reasonable parameters.
The Active Guard handset also includes the facility of communication from our control operatives and a panic button for the security officers should they require immediate assistance.
As a result of our Active Guard usage the monitoring and support given to security officers is constant and of a quality that supervisory visits are reduced from daily to weekly. This greatly reduces our carbon footprint and assists us in our aim to become a carbon neutral business.
These measures not only reduce our carbon footprint as a supplier ( less paperwork and less fuel use ) but also reduces night time noise pollution from visiting vehicles.
Wherever possible our staff are recruited from the local area and are encouraged to use public transport to travel to and from work.
Security Officers who come into contact with members of the public have also undertaken NVQ in Customer Service.
For CCS customers we also offer a basic site specific website free of charge, this allows companies to keep members of the public updated to site progress and offers good communication with those responsible for the site.
